 ... now that was a day of skiing!

Klaus, Stefan and I headed out on a ski safari through the Amadé Ski Region. After starting out from Radstadt and having skied down to Altenmarkt, we continued on to Zauchensee, from where we swung via Flachauwinkel over to Kleinarl. After a brief detour to the World Cup Cafe run by Annemarie Moser-Pröll, we skied down to Wagrain and then to Flachau. were we were greeted by all kinds of traditional apès-ski fun. Then we rode the free ski shuttle back to Radstadt. The snow was magical and the slopes were fantastically groomed (which is very typical of this region).  Our wives put in a day of cross-country skiing today, making their way along the Tauern Trail towards Untertauern. And the kids, they had a great time snowboarding in Radstadt. And after her ski lessons, even little Julia, who is only 5 years old after all,  zooms non-stop from the top to the bottom of the hill and never seems to get enough.

Oh yes, yesterday we also had a wonderful evening of tobogganing: After spending a relaxing evening at the Sportalm, we flew down Radstadt's 6 km-long floodlit sledding hill back to the valley below – that was enormous fun, believe me! Tomorrow we plan on shaking up the Reiteralm - Schladming region a little bit, since it's all included in our ski passes. And after dinner, we're going to spend an hour ice skating on the natural ice rink in Radstadt, which is in a wonderfully picturesque setting right by the historic town walls. As promised, I have already asked at the hotel and they will have a room available for you next year - we've already made the reservations !
